Text processing
Pasted and supported uploaded text is scanned and cleaned in the browser. Selectable text from PDFs uploaded directly to the main scanner is also extracted in the browser. The default artifact workflow does not send those contents to removeaitextmarks.com servers.
Document and media tools
Binary formats such as Office documents, PDFs, images, ebooks, audio, and video are sent to the Remove AI Text Marks application server only when a visitor explicitly uses one of the separate file metadata tools. Processing uses request-scoped temporary files. The application does not intentionally retain original or cleaned uploads after the request finishes.
Server and reverse-proxy operators must configure access logs so request bodies, filenames, and returned Base64 data are never logged. Define operational retention, hosting region, subprocessors, incident procedures, and deletion guarantees before launch.
Website audits send the entered public URL to the application server, which fetches that site and its sitemap. The audited site may observe the server IP address and audit user agent.
Privacy-friendly analytics
Remove AI Text Marks uses a self-hosted Plausible tracker for pageviews and coarse product interactions. The integration does not set a Remove AI Text Marks analytics cookie and does not send pasted text, uploaded filenames, entered website URLs, cleaned output, exact findings, artifact codepoints, or character offsets. Product events contain only allowlisted values such as tool type, export format, generic success state, and coarse count or file-size buckets.
The production operator must publish the Plausible hosting region, retention period, lawful basis, and any applicable opt-out method for the jurisdictions served.
Accounts and payments
The product is free, has no account system, and does not collect payment details.
Contact and rights
The production operator must publish controller identity, a privacy contact, lawful bases, retention periods, processor details, international-transfer details, and region-specific rights before public launch.
